Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after I submit my resume or application?
Once we receive your application and/or resume you will be notified by email (if you provide an email address) that your application has been recieved. Your application/resume will be directly sent to the hiring branch. The hiring branch will then review all applications for the specific title position. Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
How old do I have to be to apply?
Age requirements are specific to the position title. In general, the minimum age to work at the Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi is 18 for full time positions and 16 for part time positions. There will also be summer Junior Y Leader positions for ages 14 and 15.
What is the status of my application?
