The Farish Street branch of the Metropolitan YMCA's of Mississippi is home to a top-notch day care, preschool and after school program.

The Farish Street branch, or the Sanders YMCA as some know it, serves families with children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age each day from 6:30am until 6pm in the preschool.  The learning cirriculum, based upon the Mississippi Department of Education's Pre-Kindergarten benchmarks, includes teaching important social skills, Christian based devotions, arts and crafts and computer skills.

The after school program serves children Kindergarten age through 7th grade.  Children are picked up after scool and are given a safe, educational, and nurturing environment by professionally trained leaders.  Social skills are developed, Christian based devotionals are offered along with homework assistance, arts and crafts, JPS book clubs, Spanish class and a computer class is offered.
