Thank you to Parents & Kids Magazine and Clear Channel Communications for being sponsors of the 2010 kids 4 kids Marathon!
The second Saturday in September gives your child the opportunity to learn the value of giving back to the community. It's the YMCA's kids 4 kids Marathon! All money raised will go directly to the YMCA's Partnership for Youth Campaign which benefits children and their families who need the services of the YMCA but may not be able to afford them.
Your child (up to age 12) will run laps in front of the Northeast Jackson YMCA. After 26-laps they're finished! (Of course, they may stop any time they choose.) The total distance they will actually run is approximately 3.9 miles.
This event is not a race, and there will be no timing. All paid registrants will receive a shirt and medal showing their accomplishment!
When: Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 8:00am
Where: Northeast Jackson YMCA
Cost: Registration is $10, Each child is asked to raise $100 in donations
Following the run, make sure you join us for the pool party at the Briarwood Pool! We'll be opening the pool to registered participants and their families only!
