Summer Inclusive Camp
Each summer, the Reservoir YMCA runs an Inclusive Camp for children with special needs. This program allows special needs children a chance to be part of a regular summer camp experience. They go on field trips, swim, play games, arts and crafts.
To ensure the highest quality of experiences possible, we assign one counselor to each special needs summer camper. This program brings a great sense of joy and accomplishment that children with special needs might not otherwise have. Our inclusive camp benefits not only children with special needs but also provides a learning and growing experience for our regular campers who are not often exposed to those different than themselves.
