Join One of the YMCA’s Swim Teams
Swimming is one of the most healthy activities you can do. It helps better your breathing, gives you a low-impact way to build muscle on just about every part of your body, is less stressful on your body than most other kinds of exercise, and is one of the most calming exercises, meaning it’s good for your mental health as well.
We have competitive programs that focus on the development of all ages and abilities. Our trained coaches work to improve swimmers’ skill level, endurance and to promote a healthy lifestyle. Our program embraces the YMCA core values and promotes progression at an individual level. Individual teams are organized by ability levels and are designed to help team members improve and refine the four competitive strokes, sets, starts and finishes. Our swimmers compete with other Y’s and swim clubs at area meets. If you’re looking for a chance to test your swimming abilities and get lots of great exercise along the way, join the swim team!
